Poore parks in victory lane at 411 Motor Speedway

Terry Poore kicked off a doubleheader weekend on Friday with his first ever trip to Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) to compete in the Pro Late Model portion of the World of Outlaw Case Late Model Series-sanctioned Johnny Mulligan Classic.

Earning the 12th-starting position for the A-Main via preliminary events, Poore inched forward one spot to register an 11th-place finish.

After wet weather washed out Saturday’s attempt, Terry Poore returned to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) on Sunday afternoon to compete in the Sportsman Late Model ranks for the fourth annual Area 51. With his time trial effort placing him on the front row for the feature, Poore led flag-to-flag in the 20-lap affair to capture his first win of the 2023 campaign and an $800 payday. He finished 0.612 seconds ahead of fast qualifier Michael Courtney with Dustin Ward, David Singleton, and Curtis Thomas rounding out the top-five.
